Retiro

The briefA young woman was looking for her new home in Madrid. She works from home for much of the week, so the flat had to be both office and retreat: a pleasant place to spend long hours, and one she would be happy never to leave.

The challengeA very old flat, with walls, floors and ceilings in poor condition, and a layout that did not suit modern life.

The solutionThe layout was completely redesigned to bring light and order to 55 m². The bathroom, the priority of the brief, is no longer a passing space but is treated as a room in its own right: the place where each day begins and ends, designed for calm, with warm light and materials that are pleasant to the touch.
